Zonta Club of Malden and our members work within our community to realize our vision of a world in which women’s rights are recognized as human rights and every woman is able to achieve her full potential, where women have access to all resources and are represented in decision-making positions on an equal basis with men, and where no woman lives in fear of violence.

Ending Child Marriage
Internationally we work with partners to prevent child marriage in some of the highest prevalence countries while our Zonta clubs and members advocate for an end to this human rights violation in their own countries.
In Massachusetts: CHILD MARRIAGE IS ILLEGAL!
The Zonta Club of Malden has worked diligently to see that Child Marriage in the State of Massachusetts is Illegal.
Advocacy Initiatives:
Over the years, the Zonta Club of Malden has focused on the needs of both our international and our local community. We advocated for the needs of the poor and the homeless, and the needs of families involved with domestic violence abuse. We advocated for local literary programs and women’s education and health. We have walked in the annual MAAV (Melrose Alliance Against Violence) walk carrying our “Zonta Says NO” banner and signs through the city streets of Melrose, Mass.
